Creation (part 2)
On day 4, Genesis states that all the heavenly bodies were created. Sol (the sun) and Luna (the moon) were defined as were the stars and planets.
On the fifth day, all aquatic life was created.
The sixth day saw the creation of all land beings, Man (and Woman) included. It is written that Man was put into a deep sleep (represented as the recumbent figure in the foreground) so that Woman could be created from his rib. It is said that the pair were then told to populate the Earth.
Day 7 was a day to just be. After what must have been an exhausting week, the Almighty (represented by the infinite number of circles) reviewed the work, and was pleased.
